Under Access you will be assigned a masters level counsellor or counsellor-in-training, and counselling services will be provided to you at a lower cost.

Lina Phon

MA (Applied Psychology)

Lina is returning to the counselling profession with Revive Counselling, after having worked in a faith-based organization for over a decade as a missionary, teacher and mentor. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Applied Psychology, with a specialization in Counselling Psychology from Nanyang Technological University.

 

She has experience working as a psychologist and counsellor with children and adolescents with special education needs, alongside their families and educators. She has also worked with individuals on issues ranging from anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-harming tendencies to relational conflicts, stress and burnout.

 

Her career path has solidified her passion to make meaningful connections with others as someone who strives towards being an authentic and non-anxious presence. Her therapeutic style involves leading you to awareness, insight, self-acceptance and self-compassion, in an effort to foster hope, resilience and courage in you.

Ruth Wu

MSc (Marriage and Family Therapy)

BSc (Psychology)

Ruth holds a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary, CA, USA, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from James Cook University. She has specialty training in Medical Family Therapy, and employs in her work Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy.

 

In her clinical training in the US, Ruth worked with children with behavioural issues, as well as couples and families through relational and communication challenges. She provided joint sessions for parents and teens, and also worked with public schools. Her clientele comprised a diverse range of ethnicities (e.g. Hispanic, Asian-American, White-American). Ruth also has six years of experience as a psychiatric rehabilitation counsellor in Singapore, working with clients with schizophrenia, depression, and personality disorders. Ruth conducts therapy both in English and Mandarin.

 

Ruth believes that everyone possesses resilience and potential inside of them. She is passionate about working with others to explore these qualities in order to navigate the complexities of life and find one’s own unique path to change, connection, and growth. In her free time, Ruth enjoys going on walks with her husband and daughter, doing Pilates, and eating spicy food.
