Our Lead Counsellor, Ai Jin, has been in counselling practice since 2004 and brings extensive experience in counselling and Christian ministry, having served in church, community and private practice settings. She holds a Master of Social Science in Counselling from Edith Cowan University and a Master of Arts in Theology (Recovery Ministry) from Fuller Theological Seminary.

A Master Clinical Member of the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC), Ai Jin is a SAC Registered Clinical Counsellor and Registered Clinical Supervisor. She is trained in a range of evidence-based psychotherapy modalities and is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and Certified EMDR Practitioner. She is also a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT), a Certified PREPARE/ENRICH Instructor, and a Certified Behavioural Consultant.

 

Ai Jin brings together clinical practice, supervision, education and training in her work with individuals, counsellors, churches and organisations. She provides clinical supervision to counsellors and counsellors-in-training, as well as consultation and professional training to support churches, ministries and helping professionals.

Her areas of professional focus include mental health and emotional wellbeing, trauma recovery, the integration of faith and counselling, marital and family counselling, and parent education. Committed to strengthening the counselling profession and supporting Christian helping ministries, Ai Jin currently serves on the Training Sub-committee of the Association for Christian Counselling (Singapore).

 

Prior to entering the counselling profession, Ai Jin was a polytechnic lecturer, and her background in education continues to inform her approach to supervision, teaching and professional training. Ai Jin is married to a pastor and is a mother of two young adults and a teenager.
